Picture
I would hesitate to put this book firmly into one particular genre. It is, at heart, a historical romance, telling the story of village policeman’s love for a Cornish maid and the problems they encounter. But it is also more than that. It is also a crime story because crime was - and always is - at the heart of a policeman’s job. Most of all, however, this book is my dedication to one of my ancestors. It is Cornish history set in 1887, the momentous year of Queen Victoria’s Golden Jubilee.
